The Cake Lovers Cakery specialises in baking custom cakes & sweets for all occasions. I came across this cakery on the Big Time Bake Show on Food Network. The show premiered on Monday, June 8 2020.
On Season 1 Episode 4, the four bakers
had to create cookies, cupcakes & a showpiece cake inspired by the ocean.
This is a nonstop competition where the bakers were given 6 hours by Buddy Valastro, Food Network star Tregaye Fraser & Cake Boss sculptor Ralph Attanasia. Buddy & the guest judges taste & critique each baker while the clock continues to tick down. The winner of the competition wins a dream vacation of their choice.
The Cake Lovers Cakery won this challenge after the judges scored them the highest score. After watching the series, The Cake Lovers posted this to their Instagram!
This meant that you could now order the cupcakes & cookies that were baked during the winning episode & try them for yourself! Obviously we just had to order The Big Time Box after we had just watched it win on one of our new favourite shows!
The Pineapple Coconut Cupcakes were so much fun to eat because you had to squeeze the liquid out of the cupcake dropper so that it soaks into the cupcake before eating! This was my favourite tasting cupcake because of the coconut flavour. The Cafe Con Leche Cupcakes were soft fluffy & the ganache filling added a surprise in the middle. I absolutely love buttercream so for me this was such a divine cupcake to have with a cup of tea.
The Starfish Cookies really surprised me because the filling inside the cookie was key lime white chocolate ganache. The key lime really enhanced the sweetness of the biscuit.
